Royal India’s strange and slightly off-putting location in the back of the soi (the Zoe in Yellow complex) belies some of the best Indian food in Chiang Mai. You might end up eating dinner next to fire dancers and drunk British girls, but whether or not that’s your thing Royal India offers up delicious curries and far better naan than I’ve found anywhere else. It’s open late, so you can stumble out the door and into Zoe in Yellow for a night that practically plans itself.
